October 18 - Candy and Electricity

Tomorrow is the family fun night for GRACE. The evening will include games, and prizes of candy. With the group that is coming we need a lot of candy. So today we were sorting out the donations of candy into bags for each game.

 After we were done sorting candy we went to a field trip on electricity for the boys' class.

 with a bunch of slides that explain how the power plant works

boilers work is there's a fire ball in the middle that heats the water

 to steam then it turns turbines that run electricity

October 14 - Doctor Josie

Josie, Cami, and Kasi came over to day. Because of the rain yesterday we had put all three horses in the car port. Having a stallion and a gelding that has been in control all of his life, they tend to be a little wary of one another. Although they were tied in two separate place as far apart as we could, there isn't much room in a car port. Anyway this today while Josie and Kacy were messing with Tex (the stallion) they found a small, but deep cut on his leg. So started by helping Kacy get him cleaned up, but then she kind of took over the doctoring.  

 After Tex got done with his doctor appointment Josie took him out to graze. All doubts resolved, Tex is a good horse.

October 13 - Rain!!!

God blessed this land with rain. We spent most of the day outside. It was such a huge, much needed blessing.

October 10 - Everyone has Lost Their Teeth

One the way to GRACE today, gabe lost his tooth. Just in time too, today is picture day. We also found out that Molly Gilliland also lost some teeth. 

October 4 - Two-in-one Birthday Party

Because of the timing of both Garrett and Kacy's birthdate we had to put off the party until today.

I know that you can't see what is in her hand, sorry about that. It is the first season of the TV Show McGyver.

Garrett received a hand made Trojan Horse from Shea, inside was a Lego minifugure. Hard to believe, I know, we were all shocked.  

A well needed reading lamp for Kacy.

Watch out, He has a gun!!!!!! And, like a true Texas boy, is very proud of it, even though it is just a Nerf gun.

Kacy has a MP3 player. That may not seem big to some people, but to Kacy it is awesome.

....never mind you can be excited about that lego monster truck.....

 Due to the fact that making two cakes is too hard and both Kacy and Garrett love space we just had one cake. Thanks to our resident cake decorator, Janessa.
