March 23 - A Dinner to Honor our Fathers and Mothers

The GRACE Junior Counsel hosted a parent banquet for the sole purpose of honoring our parents. They put on a skit about how the lessons our parents have taught us has changed throughout the years, but the job of teaching our children hasn't.

First "Dad" teaching "Daughter" how to garden.
The next generation learns to shoot a gun.
Now mowing the lawn.
Soccer is taught to the next generation.
And then how to drive.
The kids learned how to serve and the parents felt the honor that this world sometime forgets to show them. Thank you to all the parents of this would. We honor you place, not only because we have to, but because we want to and it is a pleasure.

March 24 - Good-bye Grandma :(

Today Grandma left to go back to Oregon where Dan's little brother and his kids live. We will miss you Grandma and we hope you have a great trip.

March 30 - The Wedding

Mister Jordan Goodwin and Miss Atlanta Shannon were wed today in Tennessee. Janessa and Kacy drove to Tennessee with two other young ladies Courtney Haney and Jennifer Campbell to see the wedding. The wedding was 1860's theme. The wedding took place at the Nathan Bedford Forrest Home in Tennessee. General Nathan Forrest is distantly related to Atlanta's mother.

All of Atlanta's "sisters". By blood and by marriage.

Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

The Shannon Family with the bride and groom.

The crew Janessa and Kacy came with and one of Atlanta's younger sisters in a small canyon, dubbed the Fairy Dale. (Left to Right) Kacy Pogue, Courtney Haney, Aspen Shannon, Jennifer Campbell, and Janessa Pogue.

Meanwhile Back on the Home-front....

One of our dear friends is competing in mutton busting tonight at the ABC Rodeo. Rossella and the boys went to support her and had so much fun. There is the usual rodeo events, roping, bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, mutton busting, bull fighting, and duck racing. Well duck racing would be a cool event but it wasn't on this one. We got a seat up high on the grand stands.

This guy lasted about 3 seconds. . . . . .

 . . . . . . And the bullfighter saved his hide.

The clown couldn't see when he was hiding in the barrel so he  braved up and got up top.

Chicken!
