January 1- Haircuts, Graduation Parties, Skunks, and Finishing up on the Bible Story Seminar

Mom's younger sister, Allison, volunteered to give Mom and Janessa a layered haircut. She did an excellent job. Janessa's hair is naturally straight, but she did get a bit of a wave from this haircut.

While Janessa, and Mom were getting their hair cut, the rest of us went over the canal where Zach found a dead skunk.

Later that day an old friend of ours, Ben, was having his graduation party. He was part of L.I.F.E. homeschool, which Mom started several years ago.
They made ice cream.

Ben's Grandma making a speech in honor of him.

The homeschool group made him a heavy quilt out of denim.

Left to right: Ben's Grandma Verna, Ben's Mom Cheryl, Ben, Katie, and Ben's Grandpa Don.

The set up a volleyball net..... well string....and most of the kids played their own version of volleyball.

Zach won this jar of candy at the party.

Even though the seminar officially ended yesterday, we had question and answer time today and a final game of jeopardy on all we had learned.
Shea was busy using his hands. He does that when he is thinking hard.

Our wonderful teacher and his wife.

Uncle Dan headed up the jeopardy game tonight.
Very busy day one filled with memories that will last forever.
